Team SteelCity
Right now this is just a team of 1, which really doesn’t make it a team at all. I’m not part of any organized cycling, running, or triathlon group. Even if I was, I’d still have my own fun unofficial team off to the side.
What I/We do.
This team is all about outdoors adventure and fitness. Could be cycling, running, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, working out, maybe wrestling… Pretty much anything that will keep you active, fit, and getting outside (or in the gym).
Why “SteelCity”?
I grew up in a former steel city named New Castle, which is nearby my favorite city of Pittsburgh, and currently live in another former steel city called “Phoenixville”. You don’t have to live in an old steel town to be part of the team, but that would be cool.
What are the colors for team “SteelCity“
They are whatever colors members want. Since I am the only member, the primary/home jersey colors are of course “black and gold/yellow”. The alternate/away colors are “blue, gray, black, and white”. Pretty much I try to guy clothing, gear, and equipment in these color schemes.
Can I Join? Does it cost anything? What’s required?
Yes you can join my team, regardless if we have previously been acquainted. No cost to be on the team. We’re not raising money for any charity, though we could if we wanted. Only requirement is that you’re dedicated to doing something, like maybe biking a couple days through a season, running, some sort of training, backpacking… Would be nice to log what you’re doing too like on a blog or Daily Mile so we can sync up as a team.
I don’t live nearby, can I still join the team?
Yes. Lots of options, such as being part of multiple teams, starting your own branch/division of the team, planning some sort of event, or just keeping in sync with what the team is doing via blogs and stuff like Daily Mile.
Can I participate without joining your team?
Sure, I’m always looking for people to join me in biking, running, hiking, backpacking, camping, kayaking… I’m doing stuff all the time week days and weekends, so you are welcome to join. If you’re not that good, then I’ll work with that, since I might not be that good either.
